How to Cook Sweet Potatoes in Your Crock Pot. So Easy!

The slow cooker is a GREAT way to cook sweet potatoes.  It doesn't get any easier then this.

In the picture above, I cooked organic purple sweet potatoes.  However, you can use any variety of sweet potato with this slow cooker recipe.  With this recipe, you can "set it and forget it" within a few short minutes.

(1) Wash sweet potatoes.

(2) Place each potato on a small square of aluminum foil.  Lightly oil the potato or spray it with non stick spray.  Season it with a bit of salt (optional).  Wrap with foil tightly around the potato.

(3) Lay each potato on the bottom of your slow cooker. For even cooking, do not stack the potatoes.

(4) Cook on high for 5-6 hours or low for 7-8 hours. Cook time will depend on the size of your sweet potato and the heat of your slow cooker. You can pierce the potato with a knife to check for doneness.
